How they do it- faking sword aging This is scary!

I just received this email:

"This concerns my experiments in artificially aging a cheap replica confederate Staff & Field Officer's sword for my own collection. I really do think everyone interested in collecting antique edged weapons, especially Civil War pieces, should be familiar with the methods of forgery. Spending $100 dollars and a few hours out in the workshop might help prevent the loss of thousands of dollars on a forged item."

Impressive lesson in how a modern copy of a sword was changed into an aged "authentic" one. A must read for all. Please click on the below link to view this vital info!
