Outstanding cdv of a California Militia Officer & bandsman. He wears the colorful California militia frock coat, a model 1864 Artillery shako rests on the table. On the front of the shako is a large lyre in a wreath, with a Jeff Davis hat eagle plate above it.
Below is an example of the shako and aiguillette that is in the reprint of the 1864 Schuyler, Hartley & Graham catalog.
