The movie "Gods and Generals" has produced several very cool "carte de visites" to help promote it. Personally, I think they are very well done and they should do well selling them to the public. They are being sold on ebay with the proper explanation as to what they are. Please keep an eye out for some future scam artist trying to mis-represent them, because they will, you know it.
